Karen Ranzi is an author, speaker and consultant on the raw foods lifestyle. Karen
coordinates the New Jersey Raw Food Support Network. She has been interviewed
on TV and radio on the topics of vegetarian and raw food parenting. Karen
has presented at numerous seminars and festivals, including the Portland International
Raw Food Festival in 2003, and the Creative Health Institute in Michigan in 2004
as well as the Raw Passion Seminar in Philadelphia and the Living Now Festival in Buffalo. She directed
the children's program of The
Raw Spirit Festival in Sedona in October 2007, and presented on "Raw
Parenting" in September 2008. Karen has been teaching her class "Creating
Healthy Children" all over the United States for ten years, and
has written articles for Living
Nutrition Magazine, Vegetarian
Baby and Child Online Magazine, Health Science Magazine, The Raw Dish and
Raw Foods News Magazine. She has completed her book, "Creating
Healthy Children: Through Attachment Parenting and Raw Foods". In April 2010, Karen started her book tour on the East and West Coasts of Florida with 10 talks in 8 days, and also spoke at the health educator students class in Hippocrates Health Institute in West Palm Beach, FL.
In addition to her work in raw food nutrition for families, Karen hosts events for other leading health and nutrition presenters in New Jersey and New York City.
Karen and Rhio (author of "Hooked on Raw" and Rhio's Hotline of environmental, political and raw food information) have joined together in establishing the non-profit organization, Health Liberties Network, to protect the health freedoms of families.
Karen and her husband Harvey homeschooled their children Gabriela and Marco in New Jersey and abroad. Gabriela is currently studying Global Environmental Studies at college and Marco is interested in Sports Broadcasting. Karen is also a speech therapist working with autistic children. She has a Bachelors Degree from Montclair State College and a Master's Degree from New York University.
In keeping with her healthy lifestyle, Karen enjoys daily hikes in Ramapo Reservation and rebounding. She also loves traveling with her family, especially to Costa Rica.
Her vegetarian father's strong influence had a profound effect on her, leading her toward a desire and passion for living a life of health and truth.
Karen was able to heal her son from asthma, chronic ear infections and allergies, and herself from digestive, gynecological and skin problems through dietary and lifestyle changes. She has maintained a 100% raw vegan diet for 15 years. She has been able to help many adults and children to achieve a disease-free wonderful life.
